Winter migratory birds bring wetlands to life across China

On Jan. 7, 2026, in multiple locations including Hongze Lake Wetland and Taihu Lake in in east China's Jiangsu, Zhangye National Wetland Park in northwest China's Gansu, the Yellow River wetlands in northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and Poyang Lake in east China's Jiangxi Province, migratory birds glided, danced, and fed, composing dynamic winter ecological landscapes. In recent years, local authorities have continued to promote ecological restoration and protection, improving wetland environments and significantly increasing the number and variety of migratory birds.
