KABUL, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- Construction has begun on a major road project in Koh-e-Safi district of eastern Afghanistan's Parwan province, the official media Bakhtar news agency reported Friday.
The project, valued at 641 million afghanis (over 9.1 million U.S. dollars), is funded by the Ministry of Public Works, the report said.
The construction work is scheduled to be completed within approximately two years. ■
