LHASA, August 2 (Guangming Online)--Now serving as a base for showcasing traditional Tibetan culture, the Shatra Courtyard in Lhasa, southwest China’s Xizang Autonomous Region, plays a central role in preserving and promoting Thangka art - one of the region’s most iconic cultural legacies. Today, it goes beyond cultural preservation: outstanding apprentices from the Thangka Inheritance and Practical Training Base often start their own businesses or join creative centers, turning heritage into livelihoods.
