BEIJING, July 14 (Guangming Online) -- "The Global Civilization Initiative, put forward by President Xi Jinping, would serve as a framework for mutual learning, depending relationship, and foster understanding among nations in global perspective, " a senior official from Croatia said at the Parallel Forum I of the Global Civilizations Dialogue Ministerial Meeting in Beijing on July 12, 2025.
Ranko Ostojic, Vice President of the Social Democratic Party of Croatia, pointed out that in terms of economic progress, it has to go hand in hand with prosperity for the majority of the people, and every human being is just too precise to be treated as disposable, to be treated simply as a resource, to be exploited.
Ostojic believed that the Global Civilization Initiative, put forward by President Xi Jinping, would serve as a framework for mutual learning, depending relationship, and foster understanding among nations in global perspective.
“our exchange here in Beijing is a unique opportunity to reflect a commitment to peace first and foremost. We should all be committed to finding mutual beneficial answers to greatest global challenges and we should do it on the way that no nation, no country, no human being is left behind, ” said Ostojic.
He added, “There should be a priority for us and lead our participation and contribution in multilateral organizations. We are humans...I am fully convinced from this that the power of dialogue, solidarity, and humanity will prevail.”
Themed "Safeguarding Diversity of Human Civilizations for World Peace and Development," the Global Civilizations Dialogue Ministerial Meeting has attracted over 600 guests from 140 countries and regions.
