
BEIJING, July 14 (Guangming Online) -- "We commend President Xi's Global Civilization Initiative for its noble mission and goals that remain a notable component in leading lasting peace while softening tensions and fostering collaboration, " a senior official from Serbia said at the Parallel Forum I of the Global Civilizations Dialogue Ministerial Meeting in Beijing on July 12, 2025.
Damjan Jović, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, pointed out that to embrace the diversity of civilizations was building relationships based on mutual respect.
Jović noted that to achieve lasting prosperity and welfare, we must work together and remember that we have the power to overcome these obstacles on the path toward better, more human civilization.
He added, "these are exactly the principles that the Republic of Serbia stands by. It remains an excellent example of a state based on the rule of law and social justice strongly dedicated to the universal values of peace, freedom, and human dignity."
Themed "Safeguarding Diversity of Human Civilizations for World Peace and Development," the Global Civilizations Dialogue Ministerial Meeting has attracted over 600 guests from 140 countries and regions.
