Farmers rush to harvest wheat across China as grain in ear season arrives

The Grain in Ear (Mangzhong) season marks a key phase of the nationwide "Three Summers" busy farming period. In regions such as Shangqiu City in central China's Henan Province, Dongying City in east China's Shandong Province, and Yuncheng City in north China's Shanxi Province, golden waves of wheat ripple across the fields. Agricultural machinery races day and night, with harvesting, threshing, and straw returning all progressing seamlessly. Farmers seize sunny weather to push for a bumper summer grain harvest, reinforcing the foundation of national food security.
