Ramel Francois Felix, CEO of Les Vignerons du Castelas, is making his fifth appearance at the China International Consumer Products Expo to promote his family’s wine and French culture. With the upcoming launch of the Hainan Free Trade Port, Felix aims to offer lower prices and boost sales in the Chinese market.
For Felix, the Expo is a vital opportunity to expand market reach and drive business growth in Hainan. He believes the recent U.S. tariff hikes will not significantly affect Chinese consumers' purchasing power or his business prospects.
“The tariffs are not forever. Now we’re going to face a few months of difficulty. I think we need to be optimistic—in the future, everything will be fine. For the moment, you see, we’ve only been open for two hours and already have so many customers. Everything is okay,” he said.
