In a recent interview with Guangming Online, Liliane Ahombo, the Executive Director of the Center for Strategic Studies and International Security, recently shared her views on China-Africa relations, as well as a broader implications for the Global South cooperation.
The director stressed that, despite their diversity, countries in the Global South share common challenges such as poverty, climate change, and the influence of Western powers. She argued that these nations, including China and many African countries, must collaborate to address these issues and strengthen their collective voice on the world stage. She emphasized that research and intellectual support could play a critical role in shaping strategies for modernization and development.
Recognizing China's remarkable development achievements, the director pointed to the country's discipline, innovation, and the unity of its people under the leadership of the CPC. Regarding Africa's diverse needs, she encouraged African nations to draw inspiration from China's development experience, while adapting to their own realities.
