Watch as a crane transfers cargo from one train to another at Urumqi International Land Port in Urumqi, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

The freight trains are destined for Europe and Central Asia, carrying steel, chemical products, mechanical and electrical products, tomato paste, and dried fruit from Xinjiang, as well as textiles and garments, daily necessities, furniture, and building materials, electronic products, and automobile accessories from other provinces in China.

Urumqi currently has 21 routes of China-Europe (Central Asia) freight trains, reaching 26 cities in 19 countries. From January to April this year, 435 China-Europe (Central Asia) freight trains departed from Urumqi International Land Port, representing a year-on-year increase of 13.51%. The China-Europe (Central Asia) freight trains are facilitating more international trade and opening up Urumqi to the world.
