Tongmu Village, located deep in the Wuyishan National Park, is the birthplace of black tea in the world. Serving as the core production area of "Lapsang Souchong" where generations of people have made their living through tea cultivation. Luo Hui's tea plantation is right here. Apart from being a tea grower, Luo has another role. Luo became a forest ranger for the National Park in 2020. There are many forest rangers like Luo in Mount Wuyi. When they wear their uniforms, they are forest rangers and they are tea growers without them. They protect not only the 1,280 square kilometers of Wuyishan National Park, but also the homeland they and their ancestors have depended on for survival.
