On May 21, 2021, President Xi Jinping stated at the Global Health Summit that China had received support and help from many countries in the unprecedented fight against the virus, and that China had engaged in large-scale humanitarian operations at the global level. In response to the WHO’s concern that Covid-19 could attack countries with weak health systems, China pledged to support African countries within its capacity to help strengthen their preparedness against the virus. Believing that there is a shared future awaiting China and the rest of the world, whilst going all out for Covid-19 at home, China spares no efforts in helping other countries fare bettter in the pandemic
