Vietnam's agro-forestry-fishery exports up 7.8 pct in 1st 9 months

　　HANOI, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's agro-forestry-fishery exports were estimated at 56.3 billion U.S. dollars in the first nine months of this year, up 7.8 percent year on year, the government portal reported Monday.

　　The sector's trade surplus reached about 16.9 billion dollars, the report said, citing Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Vo Van Hung.

　　Of the total, agricultural products amounted to 29.28 billion dollars, followed by forestry products at 14.41 billion dollars and fishery products at 9.17 billion dollars, local media Dan Viet reported.

　　To meet the 2026 export target of over 74.2 billion dollars, the agricultural sector needs to earn an additional 17.91 billion dollars from exports in the final three months of the year, averaging 5.97 billion dollars per month, the report added. ■
