KATHMANDU, July 30 (Xinhua) -- Chynabazar.com, a new e-commerce platform serving Nepali consumers with products made in China, was launched in Nepal on Wednesday.
In Nepal, imported goods typically reach consumers through multiple layers of the supply chain, including importers, wholesalers, and distributors. This often results in higher prices and uncertainty in product availability, Stutee Shrestha, CEO of Chynabazar, said during the launch event.
"Every link in that chain -- from sourcing, importing, and warehousing to delivery -- sits under one roof," Shrestha added.
Chynabazar will initially offer electronics, fashion, lifestyle products, and health and beauty items. Shrestha said, adding that the company plans to gradually expand its product range in the coming months.
"The company also plans to continue expanding its product portfolio and establish a nationwide network of offline experience stores over the coming years," Shrestha said. ■
