At the 5th China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) in Hainan, Tanya Jo-anne Zurock, president and founder of Wild Prairie Soap Company Inc., highlighted China's market as a strategic alternative for Canadian businesses seeking to diversify beyond U.S.-centric trade. She praised the Chinese government's commitment to openness and facilitation of trade and investment, viewing it as a positive step for global economic growth.

Zurock emphasized that Canadian companies, like hers, are exploring non-U.S. markets to circumvent challenges posed by tariffs. She noted that Chinese consumers' appreciation for high-quality, premium, and sustainable products aligns well with Wild Prairie's offerings, which are plant-based and eco-friendlym, and saw CICPE as a valuable chance to reach Chinese buyers and consumers.
