BEIJING - Energy technology giant Baker Hughes is poised to capitalize on significant opportunities arising from China's green transition, according to Cao Yang, Vice-President of Baker Hughes and President of Baker Hughes China. China's pledges to achieve carbon peaking by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060 set a clear direction for innovation and growth.
Cao emphasized the urgency of meeting these targets while balancing increasing energy demands with emission reductions. "Our customers, together with Baker Hughes, must work closely to innovate and achieve these goals," he said.
He praised China's leadership in innovation, citing its major role in manufacturing solar panels, wind turbines, and storage batteries. Cao stated that the energy transition not only creates a vast market but also fosters technological advancements, providing numerous growth opportunities for companies like Baker Hughes.
