Baoxing is the site of the scientific discovery of the world's first giant panda, known as the “hometown of pandas”. Gao Huakang, who is 65 this year, was born here. From 1980 when Fengtongzhai National Nature Reserve in Baoxing County was established, Gao has been a staff member of the nature reserve. Since then, He has formed a lifelong bond with the forest and giant pandas, and his camera has witnessed the journey of giant panda conservation in China. At the end of September 1982, Gao captured a photo of a giant panda giving birth in the wild, in Nibagou within the Tibetan township of Qiaoqi in Baoxing County, Which caused a global sensation. In Gao's works, there are not only rescued giant pandas, but also the wonderful bond between humans and pandas. As time flies, Gao has now retired from his position, his camera has been updated generation after generation, but what remains unchanged is that he still focuses his lens on stories of ecological protection.
