In October 2021, the Giant Panda National Park was officially established covering parts of Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Gansu provinces. Spanning five major mountain ranges, it covers most of the wild giant panda populations and their habitats. Building giant panda corridors to promote genetic exchange between small populations and other groups is a crucial task for the Giant Panda National Park.
Over the years, the Giant Panda National Park has opened up 13 ecological corridors for local panda populations in critical areas such as Huangtuliang, Tudiling, and Nibashan, solving the problem of "marriage difficulties" for the giant pandas. Furthermore, through the implementation of ecological restoration projects for bamboo and habitat vegetation, we have improved the habitat and migration environment for the giant pandas. Allowing giant pandas to sustainably reproduce in complete, continuous and broader habitats. This is the original intention behind the establishment of the Giant Panda National Park, and it is humanity's unchanging promise to the giant panda, a species unique to China.
