CALI, Colombia, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- Mexico climbed to the top of the Junior Pan American Games medal table with six golds across four sports on Monday.
The haul included two triumphs in track cycling, two in squash and one each in gymnastics and weightlifting.
Mexico ended the fourth day of competition with 28 gold, 41 silver and 20 bronze medals, ahead of second-placed Brazil, which has 28 gold, 20 silver and 29 bronze medals.
The United States are third, having secured 28 gold, 15 silver and 22 bronze medals.
In one of the day's most eagerly awaited events, Rachel Chan won Canada's third badminton gold of the games by overcoming Natalie Chi of the United States over two sets in the women's singles final.
Her countryman, Brian Yang, won the the men's singles final with a two-set victory over El Salvador's Uriel Canjura. Chan and Yang had already won gold in the mixed doubles competition. Enditem
