MADRID, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- Spanish La Liga strugglers Levante announced that they have sacked first team coach Javier Pereira after just seven games in charge late on Monday night.
The decision came after Levante's 3-1 defeat to Betis which leaves them bottom of the table with just seven points (and no wins) from their first 15 games of the season.
Pereira is the second Levante coach to be sacked by the club this campaign following the departure of Paco Lopez after the first eight games, but his arrival has not seen any improvement in results from the Valencia based side.
He left the Chinese club Henan Jianye to return to Spain in October to sign a contract until end of the current season with Levante, but his seven games in change have produced just three draws and four defeats.
The club also announced that B-team coach Alessio Lisci will be in change of the team on an interim basis. Enditem
